Arizona Snowbowl
Located on the majestic San Francisco Peaks, the Arizona Snowbowl is just 7 miles outside of Flagstaff. The resort opened in 1938 and is one of the oldest continually operated ski areas in the country. It features 55 trails, 8 lifts, a terrain park, and snowmaking on over 60% of the mountain. With a peak elevation of 11,500 feet and an annual average of 260 inches of snowfall, the Arizona Snowbowl is an exciting destination for adventurous travelers looking for an exhilerating day on the slopes. Antelope Canyon
Antelope Canyon is located near Page, AZ on Navajo Nation land, just outside Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Antelope Canyon is the most visited slot canyon in the Southwest and offers guided tours daily. It is easily accessible and stunningly beautiful, with just the right combination of depth, width, length and ambient light to showcase the gently sculptured red sandstone. The scenic 2.5 drive from Flagstaff is well worth the effort to experience this amazing natural wonder. Look for milepost 299 just a few miles east of Page on highway 98. You may also want to visit the famous Horseshoe Bend overlook which is nearby on highway 89A.
