Fun and Affordable!

"The tours are brilliant and the guides are FAB!"

- Rob and Becky, England

"The Grand Canyon tour was the best; the guide

was excellent!" - Agnes, Hungary

We are offering "SUNSET TOURS"

on TUESDAYS through October.

This is a full day tour which follows the same itinerary as our day tour, but departs and

returns a bit later to allow for sunset viewing.

Please email if you are interested:

Top 3 reasons to choose our tour...

1) OUR EXPERIENCED

  GUIDES HIKE INTO

THE CANYON WITH YOU!

Our permit allows our guides to hike into the canyon with our guests, whereas most other tour operators are required to stay above the rim.

Our Tour guides:

* Are trained in wilderness first aid

*Are educated on the geology, human history,

and flora & fauna of the Grand Canyon region

* Have years of backcountry experience

2) WE OFFER THE CHEAPEST PRICE FOR

A TOUR FROM FLAGSTAFF!

IT'S NOT MUCH MORE THAN A SHUTTLE AND IS

MUCH LESS THAN MOST OTHER DAY TOURS.

If you take the shuttle you are left spending your day figuring out where to go and how to get there, and you won't have the opportunity to travel the length of the rim from the south entrance to the east exit as we do.

3) YOU WILL SHARE THE DAY WITH LIKE MINDED TRAVELERS RATHER THAN A

BUS LOAD OF RANDOM TOURISTS!

Our tour customers are primarily guests from both Flagstaff hostels who enjoy sharing lively conversation and travel stories.

Please join us...

Enjoy a full day of breathtaking views,

hiking and sightseeing with one of our

  friendly and  knowledgeable tour hosts...

You'll travel in style in our comfortable,

        air conditioned, 15 passenger van.

Hop on board and enjoy a  wonderful day in...

Grand Canyon Country!

Our tour departs from the Hostel lobby at 9AM. After traveling through the beautiful pine forest, you'll arrive at the Grand Canyon Village around 10:30. Our first stop is the historic Bright Angel Lodge, which sits directly on the south rim of the canyon.

The lodge, constructed of log and native stone, was designed by architect Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter. It opened its doors in 1935 and has been housing travelers ever since.

Ok, enough with the history. It's finally time to get your first glimpse of the magnificent Grand Canyon!

"Whether through experience or imagination, everybody will try to

explain what beauty really is, but no words will prepare you for the

awesome sight of the Grand Canyon." - Graham, Wales

Close your eyes and allow your tour host to

escort you to the canyons' edge...
Ready?? 1...2...3...OPEN YOUR EYES!

GC winter

WOW, one of the most spectacular views in the world!

Lunch break
You’ll enjoy the next 1.5 hours exploring this area at your own pace, including a leisurely walk on the rim trail, from the Bright Angel Lodge to Yavapai Point.

Next, it's time for lunch. Although lunch is not included with the tour price, we'll make a stop along

the way for lunch supplies,

Trail smiles
Onward, to the Kaibab trail, where you can  embark on a hike below the rim with a trained guide (weather permitting). You'll experience the Grand Canyon from a different and wonderful perspective! Those who do not wish to hike can relax and take in the views from the top.

*Make sure to have sturdy shoes for the hike.

Canyon TowerWe complete our day with a stop at the Desert View overlook, home of the watchtower built in 1932.

Here you can enjoy a treat from the snack bar, pick up a souvenir from the gift shop and take in your last view of the magnificent canyon.

Sadly, it's time to say good-bye to the Grand Canyon and head east.  We’ll travel through a portion of the Navajo Indian Reservation and the Painted Desert, and return to the hostel at approximately 7PM. You’ll be exhausted but satisfied!

Definitely a day to remember!

"Your trips are magic! Thanks." - Julia,England

Cost:
Only $85.00 - Without a doubt, the best deal around!

INCLUDES ENTRANCE FEES AND BOTTLED WATER
Visa, Mastercard, Discover and travelers checks accepted

Days of Operation:

November - February

WEDNESDAY and SATURDAY

March - October

TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

(The tour itinerary and schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions)

Don't be fooled by expensive day tours offered from Las Vegas; you'll spend most of your time in a vehicle traveling to the west rim and very little time enjoying the canyon. It's definitely worthwile to see the Grand Canyon from the south rim where the views are much more spectacular and there are many different places to stop, hike and explore.

AND...it's only a 1.5 hour drive from Flagstaff!

WE DO NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS FOR OUR TOURS,

BUT THERE IS USUALLY ROOM FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED

IN GOING. IF YOU HAVE A RESERVATION FOR ACCOMMODATION

WE CAN NOTE THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A TOUR ON

A PARTICULAR DAY. GIVE US A CALL OR SEND A MEMO WITH

YOUR RESERVATION IF THIS IS THE CASE.

PLEASE CALL US A DAY AHEAD OF YOUR

ARRIVAL TO CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE STILL INTERESTED

IN THE TOUR, AND AT THAT TIME WE WILL ADD YOUR

NAME(S) ON THE TOUR SIGN UP SHEET.

IF OUR TOUR IS NOT OPERATING, WE WILL GLADLY

HELP YOU MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS.
